Terms of Service

These Terms of Service are a legally binding agreement between you and Granic (“Granic”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) governing your access to and use of granic.app and related products and services (collectively, the “Services”).

By using the Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services. We may update these terms from time to time; continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Granic provides tools to help students organise university work and deadlines. Information in the Services is provided for general organisational purposes only and is not tailored to comply with industry-specific regulations.

You are responsible for checking your course materials, university communications, and submission requirements. Do not rely on Granic as the sole source of a deadline, requirement, or submission status.

We own or license the Services and their content, software, designs, trademarks, and logos. Subject to your compliance with these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Services for your personal, non-commercial use.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, reverse engineer, or otherwise exploit any part of the Services without our prior written permission. Feedback or suggestions you send us may be used by Granic for any lawful purpose without compensation or attribution to you.

You represent that information you provide is accurate, current, and complete; you have the legal capacity to agree to these terms; and your use of the Services complies with applicable law.

Where an account is required, you are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts with inaccurate information or usernames we reasonably consider inappropriate or objectionable.

If we make paid features available, the price, payment method, and any additional terms will be shown before purchase. You must provide current, complete, and accurate payment and account information.

We may change prices, correct pricing errors, or refuse or cancel an order where permitted by law. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.

Any software supplied with the Services is licensed, not sold, to you for use with the Services. If software is accompanied by a separate end-user licence agreement, that agreement governs its use.

You must not misuse the Services. In particular, you must not:

• use the Services for an unlawful or unauthorised purpose;
• access accounts or sensitive information without permission;
• circumvent security measures or interfere with the Services;
• introduce malware, spam, or harmful code;
• scrape, harvest, or use automated tools to extract data except with our written permission; or
• copy, decompile, reverse engineer, or use the Services to compete with us.

You retain ownership of content and information you submit to the Services. You grant us permission to host, process, and use that content as needed to operate, improve, and provide the Services.

You are responsible for your content and confirm that you have the rights needed to provide it. Do not submit content that is unlawful, infringing, deceptive, harmful, or violates another person's rights.

We may monitor the Services for violations of these terms, investigate suspected misuse, restrict access, remove content where appropriate, and take other action reasonably necessary to protect Granic, our users, and the Services.

These terms remain in effect while you use the Services. You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access, including an account, where permitted by law, for a breach of these terms, unlawful conduct, or to protect the Services or other users.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Services at any time. The Services may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, updates, or technical issues. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses caused by an interruption or change to the Services.

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally. Nothing in this section limits rights or remedies that cannot be limited under applicable law.

We may correct errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in the Services at any time. The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that the Services will always be secure, error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for every purpose.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Granic and its directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive losses arising from your use of the Services. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the extent permitted by law.

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify Granic and its personnel against claims, losses, and reasonable expenses arising from your misuse of the Services, breach of these terms, or violation of a third party's rights.

We maintain data you provide and data relating to your use of the Services to operate them. While we take reasonable steps to protect data, you should keep your own copies of important information. Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

By using the Services, sending us email, or completing online forms, you consent to receive communications from us electronically. You agree that electronic notices, agreements, and records satisfy any legal requirement for communications to be in writing, where permitted by law.

These terms and policies posted through the Services are the entire agreement between you and Granic about the Services. If any provision is unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
